_ The Surface Pattern Design Guild is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization. As such, we rely entirely on
membership dues to fund our meetings, web site, and other expenses. It is our hope to be the best resource
we can for our industry, and with each new member in our diverse and growing membership, we are able to take
a step closer to that goal.
Membership in SPDG has many benefits. As we work to make our web site a go-to hub for our industry, our
members will receive significant exposure by being listed here along with links to their own personal sites.
Additionally, members can attend our monthly meetings where we provide a friendly networking environment
and feature speakers or discussions on topics relevant to our profession. Past meetings have covered
copyrights, licensing, and creating promotional websites. Those who can't attend will have access to our
members-only archives where we post notes from our meetings. SPDG members will also have the benefit
of connecting with each other in our online members-only forums and member contact list.
Although the Guild is based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, we welcome members from anywhere.
We even offer a discounted rate to those who live 100 miles or more outside of Berkeley, California where
we hold our meetings.
