JANUARY 2013 MEETING Thursday, 17th 7:00PM – 9:00 PM Berkeley Finnish Hall GUEST SPEAKER Brian Wood from Adobe, Inc. | What the heck is Creative Cloud and why do I want it?, you may ask. Well, instead of having to decide which new version of Creative Suite to buy, and which ones to skip, you can subscribe to the Cloud instead. When you join the Cloud you have full access to all CS upgrades for the life of your subscription. You can download any of the newest Creative Suite desktop software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, and Muse, as well as all of the Adobe Creative Suite apps. You also get storage in the Creative Cloud for your files and projects. If you work with multiple computers, tablets and laptops you can access all your files no matter what device you are using. You can also easily share your files with clients and co-workers bypassing bulky e-mail attachments. Want to know more? We thought so! We’re delighted to announce that Adobe, Inc. will be sending a speaker to our January meeting to talk about the Creative Cloud and Creative Suite 6. You will meet Brian Wood, an Adobe Creative Instructor and author of numerous training videos found in Adobe products and on Adobe's web site. He speaks around the country and trains corporate clients such as Nordstrom, REI, and Costco. We will have the privilege of hearing him at our first meeting of the new year on January 17. But, wait, you said something about winning! What's that about? Well, you have to be in our audience at our January meeting to be entered into the drawing for a one year subscription to Creative Cloud. A year's subscription is normally $49.99 a month, making this prize a value of almost $600! If you are a long distance member, (that is you live more than 100 miles from Berkeley, California), and you want to be included in the drawing, you must email us before the meeting. Adobe Creative Suite is the world standard for professional designers and creatives. We are unbelievably lucky to have them in our backyard here in the San Francisco Bay Area, so take full advantage by attending our January meeting. See you there! |
