What you'll learn:
How to create a production ready textile design file in a repeating or tapestry style layout using the WOVNS platform. You will have the option of sending your file for production and receive your own custom Jacquard woven fabric.
What to bring:
• A laptop (both Mac or PC will work), preferably with Adobe Suite (Photoshop and / or Illustrator) installed. Familiarity with Adobe Suite (Photoshop and / or Illustrator) is helpful as we will be designing in these programs.
•A textile design or a motif to work with (Dena recommends skimming over this tutorial before designing or choosing a design or motif to bring)
WOVNS Swatch Blankets will be available for use during the workshop to aid in the digital design process and anticipated result as woven fabric.
Participants will have the option of submitting their design files for production at the end of the workshop. The cost is $45 - 48 / yard.
Free for members
$25 for non-members
For long distance members, we will be capturing some video and will post notes and images of the event in our private Facebook group archives
April 15th, 2017

We will have an SPDG gathering at nearby Trader Vic's after the workshop for those who want to stick around and socialize.
5 Captain Dr, Emeryville, CA 94608 in the Watergate condo complex.
Directions: From the freeway, take the Powell Street exit. Take a right after the little Watergate market. You can't miss the building-- it's a big, brown 1970s style wooden building on the left.
There are two parking options:
1) In the complex -- Directly across from the Clipper Club is a small perpendicular, unmarked street (it abuts the tennis courts). There are about 12 visitor spaces. Each is marked with a low marker, you need to look out for the marker.
2) Along Powell Street/the water
Attendees are recommended to park anywhere along Powell Street/the water. Anywhere is fine unless it is a clearly marked red zone.
