Guild member Carol Van Zandt has done it again, introducing a sixth line of quilting fabric for Andover Fabrics. In quilt shops now, Luna Lounge consists of a main border print, and five coordinates, in three colorways. A savvy business woman, and star in the Andover galaxy of designers, Carol knows upon which side the batting goes (sorry, couldn't resist attempting a quilting metaphor). Luna Lounge is chockablock with the kind of perennial designs Carol calls "useable" and quilters call "blenders" or "go withs." Oh, and did we mention that stunning border print?
Having spent ten years studying Japanese calligraphy and sumi painting, seven of those years in Japan, Carol was inspired by "chun", the brush stroke she used to warm up for her fine art paintings.
