Never really going away, bandanas are more visible once again. They've been hailed as the "hottest fall trend" of 2016 at Coachella; much more practical than a flower wreath, bandanas can double as accessory and dust mask! With companies like Kapital of Japan making classic American denim workwear hip, the bandana is of course requisite. And bandanas can signal tribal affiliation. Depending on the color of your bandana, you might be safer walking through one 'hood, or draw trouble in another. In certain metropolitan areas, you may find yourself, um... a short term companion.
So I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite bandanas from my vast Pintrest board (growing as I type these words!) There are the dime store variety, mingled with designer bandanas; both Ralph Lauren and Hermes have dabbled. Old and new, see if you can figure out which is which! Or when in Tokyo, visit the Elephant Brand Bandana Museum.
