Ceramic tile artist and surface pattern designer Dominic Crinson is harnessing the power of crowdfunding on Kickstarter in hopes of publishing a beautiful hardbound collection of his work from the past two decades. The book, entitled Tile Pattern Color, will not only be a font of inspiration and a visual delight, it will also offer a fascinating look into Crinson's design process and the manufacturing of his tiles.
Crinson says the book will contain "over 1000 designs from archives spanning 20 years, many never made public and will show some of my internationally acclaimed tile installations. It will be a feast of pattern and colour. The book will have a foreword and commentary by the British design curator and historian Lesley Jackson."
The fundraising drive on Kickstarter for Tile Pattern Color is ambitious— £15,000 (US $24,000) is needed to get the book published. If the campaign is successful, those who contribute £42 (US $67) or more will be rewarded with their own signed copy in Fall of 2014.
If you are interested in supporting this accomplished surface pattern designer's latest endeavor, you have until the 15th of November.
