At our next meeting, on June 12th, a panel of four guests will give us the inside scoop on working as an in-house designer.
In the previous blog post we introduced Sarah York. Today we profile Tara Faughn.
Tara discovered the California School for Professional Fabric Design (now the Institute for Textile Print Design) via a newspaper ad. Expecting an informational meeting, Tara instead found herself at the first night of class. She took the leap into the world of surface pattern design, and hasn't looked back! After completing the program at CSPFD, Tara joined Pottery Barn Kids as an intern, going on to a full-time position there. Since 2010 she has been at Michael Miller, and says she loves her work there. An award winning quilter, Tara's "Fireworks" is featured on the posters for Quiltcon 2015.
