Lottozero/Textile Laboratories is the brainchild of two sisters, Tessa, 34, an economist, and Arianna Moroder, age 30, a textile artist. Together they have renovated an old disused warehouse to create a working space that would be open to all. Lottozero's goals are to encourage the development of emerging talent through collaborations with established manufacturers, and artists in residence to revitalize one of the leading textile areas in Europe. Within the city of Prato lies the neighborhood of Macrolottozero, known as the Chinatown of Italy. It's a neighborhood in need of revitalization, and the creation of common spaces to build community.
Lottozero will open its doors in June 2016 with a group exhibition of international artists who will present different forms of expression, characterized by the presence of the textile element. You can keep up with Lottozero on their Facebook page, or Instagram feed.
